ACADEMIC RECOGNITION
The exchange of students between European universities within the Erasmus+ programme is made possible through the transfer of learning outcomes achieved outside the sending institution, within the framework of the ECTS (European Credit Transfer System).
To enable the transfer of a student’s academic achievements, the following documents are required:
- Learning Agreement for Studies – an agreement on the study programme,
- Transcript of Records – a record of grades issued by the receiving institution at the end of the stay.
The Learning Agreement for Studies (hereinafter referred to as LA) is a tripartite agreement between the sending institution (The IULT), the receiving institution, and the participant. It is signed before the student’s departure, currently in an electronic version (OLA). If necessary, it may be updated during the mobility period. The student’s study programme is arranged with the Dean of the home institution, based on the study programme at the partner university and the curriculum at the IULT.
HOW TO COMPLETE THE LA FORM
In the LA form, in the section “Before the Mobility”, Table A should include the courses which the student will have completed at the receiving institution, while Table B should list the courses that will be recognised by the home institution upon completion of this programme. The courses should be selected based on compatible learning outcomes and the number of ECTS credits. A comparison of course content is required.
When preparing the LA, additional aspects should also be considered, such as internship dates, differences in the organisation of the academic year, and programme discrepancies.
Any changes to the LA must be approved by both the Dean and the receiving institution. Failure to obtain such approval may result in the non-recognition of the modified courses.
The intention to make changes to the LA must be communicated to the Dean in writing (by e-mail), specifying the courses to be changed and the reasons for the changes. The second part of the online agreement (During the Mobility) must then be updated accordingly. Changes made in Table A may require corresponding changes in Table B.
The changes to the LA are considered valid once they have been approved by the sending institution, the receiving institution, and the mobility participant.
RECOGNITION OF LEARNING OUTCOMES
The condition for recognising the learning outcomes is the successful completion of the courses included in the LA and the confirmation of the achieved results in the form of a Transcript of Records, issued by the receiving institution after all assessments and examinations have been completed.
The decision to transfer the achievements, based on the submitted transcript of records, is made by the Dean.
The transfer of achievements is conducted in accordance with Chapter 7 of the Study Regulations of the International University of Logistics and Transport in Wrocław.
PLACEMENTS ABROAD
An Erasmus+ placement abroad has a professional nature, related to the student’s field of study, and will be recorded in the Diploma Supplement.
The documents enabling the transfer of achievements are:
Learning Agreement for Traineeship (hereinafter referred to as LA for Traineeship) – an agreement on the traineeship programme, drawn up before the beginning of the stay at the receiving organisation,
Certificate of Completion of the Traineeship – issued by the receiving organisation after the end of the stay.
The LA for Traineeship is a tripartite agreement between the sending university, the receiving organisation, and the student – the mobility participant. The traineeship programme, specifying the objectives, tasks and expected outcomes, is prepared in consultation with the Dean, the traineeship supervisor at the sending university, and the traineeship supervisor at the receiving organisation.
