INTERCULTURAL WORKSHOPS #INTERLAB+ FOR ACADEMIC AND ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF
On 14–15 October 2026, the Western Univeristy in Wrocław hosted #interlab+ intercultural workshops for academic and administrative staff.
The aim of the training was to strengthen staff members’ intercultural competencies and support the internationalisation of the university’s workforce. Particular emphasis was placed on developing skills for working effectively with international students, visiting lecturers and participants in academic exchange programmes.
The workshop programme covered topics related to intercultural cooperation, cultural differences and communication in an international environment. Particular attention was given to the cultural characteristics of the countries and regions with which the university cooperates most frequently, as well as to managing work and activities in multicultural settings.
The workshops were practical and interactive in nature. Participants took part in exercises designed to help them apply their newly acquired knowledge to real-life professional situations. Numerous discussions encouraged the exchange of experiences and collaborative efforts to identify effective solutions. The sessions focused on active teamwork and the analysis of real-life examples illustrating the challenges encountered in everyday work in an intercultural environment.
Through their participation in the training, staff members gained practical knowledge and explored tools that they can apply in their daily work, particularly when interacting with people from different cultural backgrounds.
