WELCOME CENTRE – HIGHLIGHTS OF SUMMER SEMESTER 2024/2025
In the summer 2024/2025 semester, our university continued its strong commitment to supporting international students, including those participating in the Erasmus+ exchange program, by offering a wide range of academic, cultural, and integrative activities aimed at enriching their experience in Poland.
Throughout the semester, over 30 events and initiatives were organized to help students feel welcome, adapt to a new environment, and engage with the local culture and academic community. Among them were social and cultural events such as Comedy Club & Karaoke nights, Easter traditions workshops, and pierogi-making sessions. Students also had the opportunity to take part in 20 open lectures delivered by experts on topics such as Artificial Intelligence in Distribution, Industry 4.0, Circular Economy, and Performance Management Systems.
An important highlight of the semester was a series of study visits to local companies and institutions, giving students practical insights into the Polish business environment and regional economic landscape. These visits allowed participants to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world practice and better understand industry dynamics in Lower Silesia.
To further enhance their experience, students also joined intercultural workshops and city sightseeing tours, which offered opportunities to develop cross-cultural skills and explore Wrocław’s rich heritage and culture.
In addition to student activities, during the summer semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, the university welcomed 34 incoming Erasmus+ students and hosted 53 staff mobilities, reinforcing our dedication to international cooperation and academic exchange.
All these efforts reflect our ongoing mission to create a friendly, inclusive, and globally engaged academic environment where international students can thrive both inside and outside the classroom. Preparations are already underway for another semester full of engaging opportunities.
The project was funded by the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) from national funds.
