On November 20–21, 2024, the 2^nd Congress on Security Sciences Research Centres – Areas of Research and Education was held at the Kalisz University. The representatives of the IULT in Wrocław, Prof. Zenon Zamiar, PhD. – Vice-Rector, and Dr. Karolina Wnuk – Vice-Dean, participated in the event.

The aim of the Congress was to integrate the community associated with Security Sciences by familiarising participants with ongoing research and education conducted at various research centres in Poland and abroad.

The post-conference materials will include a scientific article titled Safety in Transportation, authored by the IULT representatives who attended the Congress.

Another outcome of this year’s Congress will be the organisation of its 3^rd edition, in which the International University of Logistics and Transport in Wrocław will serve as a co-organizer.

The day before the conference, a ceremony was held to award the title of Doctor Honoris Causa to Prof. Bogdan Szulc, PhD, from the War Studies University in Warsaw. On behalf of the entire academic community of the IULT, Prof. Zenon Zamiar extended congratulations and expressed appreciation to the honouree.
