INTERCULTURAL INTEGRATION WORKSHOPS FOR THE IULT STUDENTS
From October 23 to October 30, 2024, a group of first-year students who began their studies at the IULT in Wrocław participated in a week-long trip to explore some of the most fascinating and culturally rich locations in Lower Silesia:
Day 1: A visit to the SkyWalk observation tower in Świeradów-Zdrój – a walk among the clouds. A gondola ride and breathtaking views of the mountains. A tour of Świeradów-Zdrój, including learning about its history and paying a visit to the Mineral Water Pump Room.
Day 2: A tour of Czocha Castle. Intercultural education workshops.
Day 3: A stay in Jelenia Góra. An excursion to the Time Gates Underground – the largest science and entertainment centre in the Karkonosze region. Intercultural education workshops.
Day 4: A visit to Karpacz and the Wang Church.
Day 5: A stay at the Palace in Krzyżowa. Culinary workshops. Intercultural education workshops.
Day 6: An excursion to Błędne Skały and Szczeliniec Wielki.
Day 7: A tour of the Krzyżowa Foundation. A visit to Książ Castle. A conclusion of the workshops with an evening bonfire.
In addition to numerous attractions, the students had the opportunity to bond and immerse themselves in the cultural heritage and picturesque landscapes of Lower Silesia.
The workshops were funded by a grant from the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) as part of the project "WELCOME CENTRE – A Place for Support, Adaptation, and Integration of International Students and Lecturers."
