GREEN SUPPLY CHAINS IN PRACTICE – A COURSE FOR STUDENTS FROM EGYPT

From 23 to 27 June 2026, as part of the SPINAKER Programme, an intensive course on Sustainable (Green) Supply Chains took place. The course was delivered within the project Development and Implementation of Intensive International Educational Programmes as Part of the Development of the University’s Educational Offer.

The course was attended by a group of 10 students from Egypt. Participants completed a 30-hour programme entitled Sustainable (Green) Supply Chains, which combined theoretical instruction with laboratory classes.

During the course, participants explored topics such as the differences between a supply chain and a logistics chain; the concept and structure of sustainable supply chains; the importance of information, integration and relationships in supply chain management; as well as the application of green solutions in logistics. They also became familiar with tools used to assess the sustainability of supply chains, issues related to reverse logistics, green transport, and the latest trends in sustainable logistics.

The course concluded with a final examination. Participants who successfully passed the exam received a certificate confirming the acquisition of competencies that are highly valued and sought after in the transport, forwarding and logistics (TSL) sector.
