On 20 January 2026, students of the IULT in Wrocław took part in a study visit to the Air Cargo Terminal in Wrocław.

The purpose of the visit was to familiarise students with the operations of the cargo terminal, the logistics processes involved in air transport, and the infrastructure facilities necessary for cargo handling.

During the tour, students visited, among other areas, the air cargo security control zone, where they took part in procedures for screening cargo for explosive materials. The students learned about the storage of shipments containing dangerous goods, as well as the principles for classifying various types of cargo for air transport.

In addition, students became familiar with the information contained in an air waybill number and types of individual identification codes used by different airlines. They also learned about the complete set of documentation required for handling air cargo shipments and the procedures necessary when a shipment is missing the required documents or contains formal irregularities. The participants of the study visit were Logistics students enrolled in English-taught programmes.

The visit was organised as part of the project “Development of the Welcome Centre as a place of support, adaptation and integration for international students and academic staff.”
