Cooperation with France

From the very beginning of its existence, the International University of Logistics and Transport has had close links with the leading French universities. At the stage of constructing the curricula, we could rely on the experience and knowledge of scholars from ESIDEC (Ecole Supérieure Internationale de Commerce), a school founded on the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moselle. As a result, graduates of our University receive a double diploma: a Polish one and a French one. On November 10, 2003 in Paris, cooperation with ESIDEC resulted in being awarded the Jean-Pierre Raffarin prize for the best educational project which was selected out of 92 projects submitted from around the world. Moreover, intensive contacts between the IULT and French universities lead to the participation of French researchers in conferences organized by our University, their membership in the International Scientific Committee of the Logistics and Transport journal published by the IULT and the conduct of classes by lecturers from France. On June 15, 2014, an agreement on educational cooperation was signed between the IULT and the University of Lorraine. Apart from ESIDEC, the crucial partners of the IULT are:

  • The University of Lorraine (Nancy, France) which educates more than 52,000 students and offers 101 accredited research centers located in 9 research areas;
  • ICN Business School (Nancy, France) which possesses an extensive network of partners around the world and employs top management and logistics specialists;
  • l'Ecole des Mines de Nancy, France which is a prestigious technical college educating engineers, founded in 1919 to rebuild France after the First World War;
  • Conservatoire National Des Arts Et Metiers (Paris, France) which is a very well-respected academic institution founded in 1794.

Our students are the key beneficiaries of this cooperation, because they are able not only to attend classes conducted by the French specialists, but also study in France within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme.

Cooperation with Ukraine

Apart from the strong links between the IULT and universities in the west and south of Europe, our University also opens up to cooperation with partners from Ukraine.

The most important partners of our University in Ukraine are:

  • National Aviation University (Kiev, Ukraine) which has significant academic achievements in aviation engineering;
  • Kyiv Polytechnic which was established under the Tsarist Order in 1898, and has 40,000 students and 2,700 scientific workers.

As part of the IULT cooperation with leading technical universities from Kiev, Lviv and Dnepropetrovsk, Ukrainian scientists can participate in international scientific conferences organized by the IULT and Polish experts co-organize the annual Kiev Airline Congress. Moreover, in 2011 the Polish-Ukrainian Scientific Institute was established and conducts research on safety and new technologies in aviation.

Cooperation with Morocco

One of our partners is Ecole Polytechnic of Agadir, Morocco. The co-operation between universities has focused primarily on the field of scientific research and academic staff exchange. Thanks to the efforts of the representatives of both partner universities, a joint project funded by Erasmus + Key Action 1 - Mobility for learners and staff - Higher Education Student and Staff Mobility” was carried out in the academic year 2016/2017.
Within the framework of the project students had a chance to spend one semester at the partner university and gain international experience. It also provided new opportunities for conducting guest lectures to the academic staff from both institutions.
The project also includes additional actions such as the establishment of an international students’ club, organization of an international conference, creating a joint e-learning platform and publishing monography entitled Logistics: Contemporary Problems and Challenges in the International Perspective" as a result of a common research.

Cooperation with Germany

The International University of Logistics and Transport in Wroclaw has been cooperating with representatives of German companies and business organizations for many years, especially with the Magdeburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Contacts with German partners allow scientific and administrative staff to exchange experiences, share good practices and participate in many events related to the logistics sector.
On December 13, 2010 a cooperation agreement was signed between the IULT and the Fraunhofer Institute in Magdeburg, Germany - the largest European research institution aimed at the practical application of scientific knowledge.
As an aftermath, we can provide our students with access to the knowledge base and latest research results in the field of logistics, transportation, spatial planning as well as modern information technology and virtual reality. In addition, as a part of the Erasmus + programme we cooperate with the Hochschule fur Technik und Wirtschaft Dresden, Germany as well as the Hochschule Fulda – the University of Applied Sciences.

Cooperation with China

Since 2011 we have been actively cooperating with the Chinese Ningbo University of Technology, where transport and civil engineering are the leading majors. In May 2012, an agreement was signed between the IULT and NBUT on academic exchanges, study visits, access to electronic library, joint research projects, and the possibility of conducting joint studies in the field of logistics. In addition, since the academic year 2014/15 we have been implementing a programme of a semester-long exchange for the outstanding students and lecturers. Discussions have also started on the joint application for funding research in the area of transport, specifically to examine changes in the structure of transport between Europe and Asia, as the analysis in this area has been highly required due to the rapidly changing global situation.
