On March 6, 2024, during the conference on the opening of the Center of Industry Skills in Logistics at the International University of Logistics and Transport in Wrocław, took place the first meeting of the Program Council. The council included representatives from universities, the socio-economic environment, and organizations uniting entrepreneurs in the logistics sector.

 

The meeting was attended by:

Janusz Pawęska - President of MWSLiT in Wrocław - the governing body of BCU,

Sławomir Mazurek - Director of the Center of Industry Skills in Logistics,

Michał Kruszyński - Vice-Dean of MWSLiT in Wrocław,

Renata Granowska - Expert in European Funds Management,

Jacek Iwancz - Vice-Chairman of the Culture, Science, and Education Committee of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Assembly,

Bartosz Kotecki - Director of the Labor Office of Lower Silesia,

Ryszard Sobański - President of the Sudeten Chamber of Commerce and Industry,

Leszek Rabszty - Member of the Board of the Polish Institute of Certification,

Urszula Przystalska - Director of the Academic Technical Secondary School at MWSLiT in Wrocław,

Leszek Luda - President of the Polish Transport Union,

Maciej Posadzy - President of the Management Board of 3LP S.A.,

Michał Kosik - Expedition Manager at Colian Logistic Sp. z o. o.

 

The purpose of the BCU Council is to create an effective system for diagnosing and informing about the current state and demand for professional skills and personal and social competencies in the logistics industry.

 

During the meeting, the following issues were discussed:

  • Demand for new professions, skills, and qualifications in the field of logistics,
  • Demand for new digital competencies,
  • Scope and subject of new trainings/courses offered by the center for specific target groups,
  • Proposals for changes in the education sector at the level of vocational-technical and higher education in the field of logistics.

 

BCU Council meetings will be held periodically, no less than once per quarter, remotely. Twice a year, meetings will take place in person, at the BCU headquarters.
